When I was a kid, if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would always list half a dozen things. Though five of the six changed from year to year, there was always one constant: magician. I have been fortunate enough to be able to fulfill my boyhood dream and become a professional entertainer. It started when I was 16 and I began performing with a friend as the comedy magic duo Abra and Cadabra.

In the summer of 2002 I began presenting my comedy straitjacket escape show in the streets and squares of Europe. Not long after I began performing in international festivals around the world. I have been invited to The World Buskers Festival in Christchurch, NZ, The Street Performers World Championships in Dublin, IR, The Edmonton International Busker Festival in Edmonton, CA as well as several other festivals in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Dubai and throughout Europe,

Over my years as a performer I have expanded and developed my material. I have complete confidence in every type of performance situation I’m presented with be it performing a card trick for a small group of people at a private event or escaping from my straitjacket in front of a large audience in a theater or on the street at a festival.
When asked to describe my act, I will often say that I incorporate the old with the new, using inspiration from circus sideshow acts and classic magic effects, and adding my own unique, humorous, and sometimes outrageous twist to it all. Whether it be my stage act, my street show, or some of my close-up magic, if I'm performing at Magic Brian, Dr. Frangible or Nigel Blackstorm, it’s all done with passion and fun to make people smile... and maybe even soil themselves!

Years later in college I developed a solo act from some of the material I had been performing with my friend. I added a little more comedy and a lot more edge. In 1996 I began to present this act at comedy clubs and variety shows throughout New York City.
After a few years I had established a reputation and was fortunate enough to work with The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, a touring variety show that was a combination of vaudeville, sideshow, burlesque and circus. We traveled the U.S. and Canada performing in all types of venues.

In 2009 I was asked by a friend to host his comedy rock show. He wanted me to host it as a "heavy metal magician," and thus Nigel Blackstorm was born. Since then I have developed the character and the show. After only the first season debuting it, I was awarded Best Act at StadtSpektakel, an international street theater festival in Germany.
Back home in New York City I produce my own variety show and have had the opportunity to perform on the stage of the world famous Coney Island Sideshow as well as appear as a special guest on The Late Show with David Letterman.
